Pedigreed Kittens come in 3 different qualities.  You need to take the time to decide what you want to do with your kitten before you decide on what quality you need. Don't buy a pet quality kitten if you think you or your kids might enjoy showing the cat at shows near you. Don't buy a pet quality kitten of you think you might want to breed pedigreed cats. Take the time to think about it.  Talk with your family about what they want to do with the kitten.

Some people purchase kittens that are show quality because either they want to show the kitten or have their children experience the joy of showing cats.  This can be quite exciting! And when you win your first ribbon it is so thrilling! Showing your kitty is an excellent way to introduce yourself and your family to the cat fancy. Show quality kittens are the ones with the best markings and they are expected to come closest to the breed standards.  Some people want a show quality kitten simply because they want a pet that is the "best example of the breed".

Some people are interested in breeding quality. We highly recommend you seriously consider this step before taking it.  There are pros and cons. Make sure you make a list of both and then really think about what you want to do.  It took us over a year to research the breed and finally decide to raise pedigreed cats. This is a big commitment that you will have to take seriously. These cats will be with you for years and years.

The majority of kittens are pet quality.  These are kittens that do not conform as closely to the breed standards as the show and breeding quality cats do. This is usually because they are miss marked or perhaps they have a light eye color.

Another thing, remember that this cat will be your companion for a long time.  So take your time in making your decision. While you are deciding we invite you to go ahead and click the enter button and take a look at our precious kitties.
